You missed one. If the disputed date is correct this would be an earlier version of The Same Thing". A killer version too! I still doubt that either of them is the "first" version since they already sound like they had been playing it for awhile.. anyways, check out this fine Avalon Ballroom show from 9/16/66.

A little trivia about this show. The Avalon 9/16/66 show marked the first poster appearance of the "Skull & Roses" logo. It was also the first show that Warner Bros. executive Joe Smith saw the Grateful Dead play and caused him to offer the Dead a recording contract for Warner Bros. records.
